<h2>Caesar Salad</h2>

<p>400 gr lattuga lavata e tagliata / <em>400 gr lettuce washed and cut</em></p>
<p>3 fette di pane (tagliare la crosta) / <em>3 slices of bread (crusts removed)</em></p>
<p>8 cucchiai di olio d’oliva / <em>6 tablespoons olive oil</em></p>
<p>2 cucchiai di succo di limone / <em>2 tablespoons lemon juice</em></p>
<p>sale e pepe / <em>salt and pepper</em></p>
<p>100 gr scaglie di grana / <em>100 gr parmesan shavings</em></p>
<p>1 spicchio d’aglio tritato finemente / <em>1 garlic clove finely chopped</em></p>
<p>1 uovo / <em>1 egg</em></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>facoltativo / <em>optional:</em></p>
<p>mezzo cucchiano di pasta d’acciughe / <em>half teaspoon anchovies paste</em></p>

<p>Portare acqua ad ebollizione. Quando bolle immergere l’uovo per 45-50 secondi (non di più), estrarre e fare raffreddare.</p>
<p><em>Boil some water. When boiling add the egg and cook for 45-50 seconds (not more). Remove from water and cool down.</em></p>

<p>Tagliare il pane a cubetti, metterlo su una placca, ungerlo con 2 cucchiai d’olio, sale e pepe e aglio tritato. Tostare in forno per qualche minuto finché non sono dorati.</p>
<p><em>Cut the bread slices into cubes, put it on a dripping pan put 2 tablespoons of oil, add the chopped garlic, salt and pepper and toeast for 10 minutes in the hot oven.</em></p>

<p>In un contenitore mettere il limone, l’olio, il sale e il pepe (e la pasta d’acciughe). Sbattere con una frusta. Unire l’uovo scottato prima e sbattere energicamente finché la salsa non si addensa un pochino.</p>
<p><em>In a bowl put the lemon juice, the remaining oil, salt and pepper (and the anchovies paste).  Crack the egg into this mixture and whisk to blend until smooth.</em></p>

<p>Condire l’insalata. Dividere l’insalata in 4 piatti, cospargere equamente le scaglie di parmigiano e il pane tostato. Servire.</p>
<p><em>Pour the dressing over the lettuce, and mix well. Now divide the salad into 4 plates, and sprinkle both the parmesan shavings and the crouton equally. Serve.</em></p>
