<p>230 ml Acqua bollente / <em>230 ml boiling water</em></p>
<p>130 gr burro / <em>130 gr butter</em></p>
<p>140 gr zucchero / <em>140 gr sugar</em></p>
<p>230 gr farina / <em>230 gr flour</em></p>
<p>1/2 cucchiaino di lievito / <em>half teaspoon baking powder</em></p>
<p>1/2 cucchiano bicarbonato / <em>half teaspoon baking soda</em></p>
<p>Vanilllina / <em>vanilla flavour</em></p>
<p>2 uova / <em>2 eggs</em></p>
<p>* si tratta di zucchero di canna grezzo non raffinato. E’ più fine e umido dello zucchero di canna, si trova facilmente nei negozi specializzati.</p>

<p>100 ml acqua / <em>100 ml water</em></p>
<p>35 gr zucchero Muscovado / <em>35 gr Muscovado suga</em>r</p>
<p>170 gr burro /<em> 170 gr butter</em></p>
<p>300 gr cioccolato fondente / <em>300 gr dark chocolate</em></p>
<p>Tempo: 2 ore / <em>Time: 2 hours</em></p>
<p>In un recipiente unire il cacao setacciato, lo zucchero Muscovado e diluire con l’acqua bollente fino ad ottenere un liquido denso e senza grumi. Fare raffreddare.</p>
<p><em>In a bowl mix the cocoa (sifted) and the Muscovado sugar with the boiling water until you obtain a smooth liquid. Set aside and cool down.</em></p>

<p>Ora, sbattere il burro con lo zucchero bianco, fino ad ottenere un composto bianco e spumoso. Unire la vanillina e le uova uno alla volta. E in seguito la farina.</p>

<p>Dividere il composto in egual misura in due tortiere della stessa dimensione (max 22 cm diametro), o cuocerle in due tempi. Infornare a 170° per 30 minuti. Fare raffreddare bene.</p>
<p><em>Share the mixture into 2 baking pans (of same dimension &#8211;  max 22 cm diameter) or cook them in 2 steps. Put in the oven at 170° for 30 minutes. Once out of the oven let them cool down.</em></p>

<p>Mentre le basi sono in forno preparare la copertura. Tagliare il cioccolato fondente grossolanamente e metterlo in un recipiente. A fuoco basso fare bollire l’acqua, il burro e lo zucchero Muscovado e una volta in ebollizione versarlo sul cioccolato. Mescolare e fare sciogliere bene il cioccolato. Lasciare raffreddare. Porre in frigo e mescolare frequentemente.</p>
<p><em>While the cakes are in the oven we can prepare the topping. Cut roughly the chocolate and put it in a bowl. Bring the water, butter and Muscovado sugar to boil at low heat. Add it to the chocolate and mix well until melted. Cool down. If necessary put it in the refrigerator and stir it frequently.</em></p>

<p>Ora farcire le due basi con un terzo della crema di cioccolato, sovrapporle. Fissarle con degli stuzzicadenti da spiedino (le terrà unite nel procedimento di copertura) e coprire con la crema al cioccolato. Con una spatola spalmarla sopra e sui bordi e decorarla come nella foto.</p>
<p><em>Now put one the cake upside down, spread one third of the chocolate cream and cover with the second cake. Stick with some long skewers the 2 bases  (this is to keep them together while you spread the cream on top), and now cover the cake with the chocolate frosting on top and on the sides. Decorate as shown in the picture.</em></p>
