<p>225 gr finely ground almonds</p>
<p>225 gr granulated sugar</p>
<p>30 ml sugar syrup</p>
<p>half tsp vanilla extract</p>
<p>2 fresh egg whites</p>
<p>half tsp almonds extract</p>

<p>Blend in a mixer almond flour and sugar. Add vanillla and almonds extracts.</p>

<p>Add the egg whites and blend again, add slowly the sugar syrup.</p>

<p>The mixture will become hard and sticky. Use it as needed. If you do not use itimmediately preserve i tinto the fridge for 1 week maximum. The almonds paste is necessary in many recipes such as Lemon Drizzle (check it out).</p>

<p>Mix: 150 gr almond powder; 90 gr corn starch; 60 gr granulated sugar</p>
<p>2 eggs</p>
<p>60 gr butter</p>
<p>50 gr water</p>
<p>1 tsp baking powder</p>
<p>a pinch of salt</p>
<p>30 gr icing sugar</p>

<p>Add all  ingredients to the dry ones. Mix well.</p>

<p>Pour in a baking pan (20 cm diameter) and bake for 35 minutes. Test doneness with a toothpick. Serve warm dusted with icing sugar. The almond cake is great if served with a some melted dark chocolate.</p>

<p>500 gr pollo / <i>500 gr boneless chicken</i></p>
<p>150 gr mandorle / <i>150 gr almonds</i></p>
<p>3 cucchiai salsa di soja /<i> 3 tbs soy sauce</i></p>
<p>1 cucchiaio di farina / <i>1 tbs flour</i></p>
<p>1 cucchiaio di zenzero grattugiato / <i>1 tbs grated ginger</i></p>
<p>mezza cipolla / <i>half onion</i></p>
<p>3 cucchiai olio di semi / <i>3 tbs vegetable oil</i></p>
<p>sale / <i>salt</i></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Soffriggere la cipolla e lo zenzero tritati con l’olio.</p>
<p><i>Finely chop the onion and the ginger and fry them with the vegetable oil.</i></p>

<p>Unire il pollo al soffritto. Soffriggere per un paio di minuti. Salare e unire mezzo bicchiere d’acqua e cuocere per 15 minuti.</p>
<p><i>Add the chicken to the fried mixture. Fry for a couple of minutes and then add half glass of water and a pinch of salt. Cook for 15 minutes.</i></p>

<p>Nel frattempo, saltare le mandorle in una padella con un cucchiaio di olio, finché non saranno tostate.</p>
<p><i>Meanwhile, fry the almonds in a pan with one tbs of vegetable oil until brown.</i></p>

<p>Quando il pollo è cotto, unire la salsa di soja e le mandorle tostate e lasciare insaporire un paio di minuti. Servire.</p>
